Exhibition design proposal, unrealised
sp/n developed an unrealised exhibition design proposal for FOTOMOMO, centred on the archive as a space of investigation. The project gathers years of FOTOMOMO’s photographs of modern architecture, including unreleased images, and invites visitors to look through them slowly, closely, and physically.
Rather than displaying the photographs only on walls, the exhibition is organised around a long wooden archive box with drawers. Visitors are invited to move along the box, open drawers, discover images, compare details, and trace the photographer’s ongoing observation of modern architecture across time.
The proposal understands the archive not as storage, but as an active surface for looking, remembering, and rediscovering. Though the project was never realised, it remains a study in how an exhibition can turn photographic documentation into a quiet, tactile encounter.
